Traverse City
I write this morning from my hotel in Traverse City, Michigan, just yards from Grand Traverse Bay and Lake Michigan itself.
My morning was spent outdoors, a stone’s throw from the lake. I sat at a picnic table and finished editing 120 pages of The Journal of the Conductors Guild, this in my role as Publications Chair for that organization.
I love the water, and to be that close, in mild sunshine, with the quiet call of the gulls sounding nearby, was heaven on earth.
This afternoon my boss and I represent Webster University at Interlochen at a performing arts college fair.
