The third and final Webster University Summer Sing was this evening. I rehearsed and then conducted the wonderful Magnificat by J.S. Bach.
These Summer Sings are a chance to sing major works with minimal investment or time. We gather at 7.30, rehearse for an hour or so, then sing the work in its entirety after a bit of wine and cheese. Fellowship is high, enthusiasm is contagious, and the final product is exactly what it should be on a night of convivial music-making.
I’m glad I had a chance to conduct this year!
