Steinway day 11.30 a.m.

by Jeffrey Carter

Steinways ready for delivery to their final homes.

The semi has departed.  All of the new pianos are now on campus.

Two Steinway B instruments are still crated.  Most of the Boston uprights have been uncrated and are lined up on the parking lot.

I was in a meeting when the Steinway D (a nine-foot grand) went down Big Bend on the front of a forklift.  Boy, I’m sorry I didn’t see that happen!

Four grands are already in the recital hall in my building, where they’re being assembled and readied to go up to the second floor.
