Round four finished

by Jeffrey Carter

The accreditation process with the National Association of Schools of Music can be labyrinthine.  This is not a bad thing at all, as it allows us to ponder and review and revise and grow.

The first round is the self-study, after which we have the option of a report after the visitors file their report.  Then there are responses to the national commission as they take action and request more information.

At about 9.20 a.m. today, I completed our fourth report over the last three years.  The document (only eight pages, to which I’ve added 100 pages of appendices) is packed with detail and context.

And I’m really glad to have it done.

The papers are due in Reston, Virginia on Monday.  Off they go today on a two-day delivery schedule.
