Jennifer Johnson Cano

by Jeffrey Carter

Jennifer Johnson Cano, a Metropolitan Opera roster artist and frequent performer with the New York Philharmonic, is presenting a pre-Carnegie Hall recital right here in Saint Louis next month, on Monday, September 30 at the Sheldon Concert Hall.
Jennifer is a Webster University alumnus with a graduate degree from Rice. She was a Gerdine Young Artist at Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, and joined  the Lindemann Young Artist program at the Met.  She is now on the Metropolitan Opera roster, and also performs across the US.  The New York Philharmonic seems to love her.  Her local recital is a preview of her big fall event at Carnegie.  At both events she’ll be accompanied by her husband Christopher.
