A MILESTONE ACHIEVEMENT: Webster University choirs are featured in the new DVD “How to make a good choir sound great,” published this month by GIA Publications in Chicago. The DVD is a project of Dr. Trent Patterson, Director of Choral Studies and Music Education, who managed the project, arranged for producers, worked with Webster faculty on the audio and video and lighting, and enlisted the participation of his graduate choral director, Dr. Charlene Archibeque, who is the focus of the DVD. The disc is available through GIA, a major national publisher of music education material, and will be featured at numerous music educator conventions this year, in addition to conventions where Webster University Chamber Singers are performing this semester. Much of the funding for the project came from the Leigh Gerdine College of Fine Arts. Other participating choirs include Lee’s Summit West High School (MO) and the St. Louis Children’s Chorus.
